Getting Hattie's Echo Started

Originally writing the story to heal her own heart, Charlotte realized that this story needed to be shared with others. Once she decided to share the story, she has gone through an extensive revising process to ensure that it is being told in the best way. Follow the timeline below to see the previous production history before making it to the draft we currently have.

Staged Reading

The first performance of an early draft of the script in Charlotte's hometown, Eugene, Oregon. The cast consisted of her family.

BYU Development Workshop

As part of a class at BYU, Charlotte developed the script. This changed it into an entirely new musical, with an entirely new score.

Concert Reading

This concert reading was performed at the end of the BYU class term as her final project. Performed by mostly her family again, this is when Charlotte began receiving more support for the importance of this project.
